main functions:

 

  • Logic control function: This is one of the most basic functions of PLC, which can realize logical operations such as AND, OR, and NOT, and is used to control various logical relationships in industrial production processes, such as sequential control of motor start stop, valve opening and closing, etc. In machine tool control, the action sequence of each component can be controlled through logical operations according to different processing steps.
  • Timer control function: Built in timer, can set the timer time as needed to achieve timer control. The timed time can be set and modified in the program, and is widely used in device control that requires timed start or stop. For example, in a liquid mixing system, controlling the timed stirring of the stirring motor.
  • Counting control function: equipped with a counter that can count the input signal. When the count value reaches the set value, the corresponding control action can be triggered. Can be used for scenarios such as product counting and device running frequency statistics. For example, counting products on the production line and issuing a packaging signal when the set quantity is reached. 
  • Data processing function: Modern PLCs have strong data processing capabilities and can perform arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, etc.), logical operations, data comparison, data transmission, data shifting, and other operations on data. They can process and analyze various data in industrial production processes. In temperature control systems, the collected temperature data is operated and processed to achieve precise temperature control.
  • Analog control function: By equipping analog input/output modules, it is possible to control analog signals such as voltage, current, temperature, pressure, etc. Convert analog signals into digital signals for processing, and then convert the processed digital signals into analog signals for output to control related equipment. For example, in chemical production, continuous control of analog quantities such as flow rate and pressure is required.
  • Communication networking function: Most PLCs have communication interfaces that can communicate with other PLCs, computers, touch screens, and other devices to achieve data exchange and information sharing, forming an industrial control network and meeting the needs of large-scale industrial automation systems. In a large factory, multiple PLCs are interconnected through communication to achieve coordinated control of the entire production process.
  • Sequential control function: gradually execute each control step in a pre-set order to ensure the orderly progress of the production process. In an automated production line, control the sequential execution of each process.
